Kitting & Assembly — Build Better Products at Scale
CanadiEx's Toronto kitting team assembles subscription boxes, custom bundles, promotional kits, Amazon FBA multi-packs, and luxury gift sets — accurately, on time, and at the scale your business needs.
What Is Kitting — and Why Does It Matter?
Kitting is the process of grouping multiple individual products or components together into a single sellable unit — a "kit". Kitting can be as simple as a 2-pack of the same item, or as complex as a curated subscription box with 12 different SKUs, custom packaging, and a personalized card.
Done well, kitting increases average order value, reduces shipping costs per item, creates exclusive products that are difficult to price-compare, and gives your brand powerful merchandising flexibility. Done poorly — with wrong components, missed items, or mislabeled outer packaging — kitting creates returns, chargebacks, and customer service nightmares.
- Consolidate multiple SKUs into a single sellable unit
- Increase average order value through curated bundles
- Reduce per-unit shipping cost by combining multiple items
- Create exclusive SKUs that are harder for competitors to copy
- Respond to promotional opportunities and seasonal demands quickly
- Offload labor-intensive assembly from your team to ours

Kitting Use Cases We Handle
From simple 2-packs to complex curated subscription boxes — our kitting team handles the full spectrum.
Subscription Boxes
Monthly, quarterly, or seasonal subscription boxes assembled to your exact product list and insertion order. We manage the BOM, source packaging, assemble, label, and ship on your schedule. Variable kits (personalized boxes with different contents per subscriber) are supported.
Product Bundles
Combine two or more of your existing SKUs into a bundle listing — either a curated value pack or a 'buy together' promotion. We create a new master ASIN or Shopify SKU for the bundle, pick the components, assemble, and ship as a single sellable unit.
Promotional & Seasonal Kits
Holiday gift sets, limited edition collections, and event-specific kits assembled and ready to ship ahead of peak season. We can include branded tissue, ribbon, custom cards, and stickers — whatever your kit calls for.
Amazon FBA Multi-Packs
Multi-unit Amazon FBA packs assembled, FNSKU labeled with 'Sold as Set — Do Not Separate' stickers, and prepped to FBA standards. We handle the shipment creation and box content for multi-pack inventory.
Gift Sets & Luxury Kitting
High-touch gift set assembly for premium brands — tissue wrapping, ribbon tying, handwritten card insertion, and luxury outer packaging. White-glove kitting with quality checks at every stage.
Our Kitting Process
A repeatable, documented process means every kit is built the same way — whether it's the first or the ten-thousandth.
Kit Design & BOM Review
We review your Bill of Materials (BOM), kit spec sheet, and packaging requirements. We flag any component sourcing gaps, labeling requirements, or compliance considerations before a single unit is assembled. For new kits, we can produce a sample run for your approval.
Component Receiving & QC
All kit components are received, counted, and inspected against your spec. We verify quantities match the BOM for the planned run, photograph discrepancies, and confirm readiness before assembly begins. No half-built kits due to missing components.
Assembly & Quality Check
Kits are assembled by trained staff following your instruction sheet. Each completed kit is QC checked — correct components, correct quantities, correct orientation, correct labeling, and outer packaging integrity. Defective kits are quarantined and reported.
Inventory Entry & Fulfillment
Completed kits are scanned into your WMS as a finished-goods SKU, allocated to bin locations, and immediately available for outbound orders. Kit inventory appears in your live stock count in the client portal within the same business day as completion.
QC at Every Stage
Every completed kit is verified against your BOM and spec sheet before it enters inventory. Defect rate target: less than 0.1%.
Amazon FBA Compliant
FBA-bound kits meet current Amazon prep standards — FNSKU labeling, "Sold as Set" stickers, poly bagging, and cartonization.
Full Documentation
Every kit run is documented with component counts, photos, QC results, and completion reports — available in your client portal.
